MORE CEREMONIES

Not every meaningful moment is a wedding. Whatever the occasion, your ceremony should feel entirely your own.

Some moments deserve to mean a little more.

Whether you’re celebrating, remembering, welcoming or beginning again, we can create a ceremony around exactly what this moment means to you. You don’t need to arrive knowing exactly what you want, or even what’s possible. I’ll listen, ask the right questions and help you shape the words, moments and details into something that feels completely right. No format and no need to have it all worked out before we begin.

That’s where I come in.

LOOKING FOR SOMETHING DIFFERENT?

Not every moment fits neatly into a category. If you have something you’d like to celebrate, remember or mark in your own way, tell me what you have in mind. I’d love to explore what we could create together. And if you’d simply like to know more about any of the ceremonies here, including availability and pricing, just get in touch.

01 VOW RENEWALS

You’ve already made the promises. Now you get to celebrate everything that has happened since.

A vow renewal can mark a milestone anniversary, a new chapter in your lives, or simply give you the chance to stand together again and say, after everything you’ve shared, I’d still choose you.

And this time, you have a whole history to draw from. The life you’ve built, the adventures you’ve had, the challenges you’ve faced, the family you may have created and all those wonderfully ordinary years in between.

We can revisit your original vows, write completely new ones, involve your children, family and friends, or create something intimate with just the two of you. There are no rules about what a vow renewal has to look like.

I’ll help you create a ceremony that celebrates not only where your story began, but everything it has become.

02 FUNERALS, MEMORIALS & CELEBRATIONS OF LIFE

When you’re arranging a funeral, it can feel as though there is suddenly a set way everything has to be done. But you still have choices.

Having written and delivered hundreds of funeral and memorial ceremonies, I know how important it is to create something that genuinely reflects the person you are there to remember, rather than simply following a familiar format.

I’ll guide you through what’s possible, listen carefully to the stories and memories you want included, and create a ceremony that feels honest, personal and completely appropriate for the person at the heart of it.

Whether that’s a funeral, a celebration of life or a memorial held at a later date, there is no single right way to say goodbye.

03 NAMING CEREMONIES

A naming ceremony is a wonderful way to welcome a child into your family and celebrate the people who will be part of their life as they grow.

Unlike a christening or other religious ceremony, there’s no prescribed format to follow, which means we can create something completely around your family, your personalities and what this moment means to you.

You might choose to make promises as parents, involve grandparents, siblings or other important people in your child’s life, include a reading or a symbolic ritual, or simply bring everyone together to celebrate this new chapter in your family.

And naming ceremonies aren’t only for babies. They can be a lovely way to mark an adoption, welcome an older child into a family, celebrate a blended family or simply recognise a moment that feels important to you.

I’ll guide you through all the possibilities and create a ceremony that feels warm, relaxed, meaningful and completely personal to your family.

04 COMMITMENT CEREMONIES

There are all sorts of reasons why two people might want to stand together and make a commitment to one another, and it doesn’t have to look like a traditional wedding.

A commitment ceremony gives you the opportunity to celebrate your relationship in a way that feels entirely your own. You can make promises, exchange rings, involve the people closest to you, include meaningful rituals or traditions, and create a ceremony that reflects what your relationship and your future together mean to you.

It can be intimate and private, a wonderful celebration surrounded by family and friends, or something completely different. There’s no prescribed format and no list of things you have to include.

I’ll help you explore the possibilities and create a ceremony with all the warmth, personality and sense of occasion that such an important commitment deserves.

05 MILESTONES & NEW CHAPTERS

Not every important moment in life comes with a ready-made ceremony attached to it.

A significant birthday, retirement, graduation, new beginning, personal achievement or major change in your life can all be reasons to gather the people you love and mark the moment properly.

And it doesn’t have to feel formal or overly ceremonial. It might be a few carefully chosen words during a celebration, something more structured with readings, stories and contributions from family and friends, or an entirely original ceremony created around the occasion.

If something matters enough to you to celebrate, acknowledge or remember, we can find a way to make the moment feel special.

You bring me the reason. I’ll help you work out what we can do with it.

06 PET MEMORIALS

For many of us, losing a much-loved pet means losing a member of the family, and sometimes you want the opportunity to mark their life and say goodbye properly.

A pet memorial can be as simple or as personal as you would like. You might gather together as a family, share favourite stories and memories, scatter or bury their ashes, plant something in their memory, or create a small ritual that feels meaningful to you.

There’s no right way to do it, and it certainly doesn’t need to be formal. It’s simply a chance to acknowledge the place they held in your life and everything they brought to it.

I’ll help you create a gentle, personal ceremony that feels right for you, your family and the companion you’re remembering.
